-
Aquarius, meaning "water-bearer," is one of the twelve signs of the zodiac; The Da Vinci Code describes the Age of Aquarius as the coming era in which the Roman Catholic Church foresees a shift in human attitude and behavior to reflect the sign (DVC, 268). Qualities of the zodiacal Aquarius include self-reliance, free thinking, and a peaceful mindset. Some believe the Age of Aquarius began at the dawn of the Third Millennium (i.e., 2000); however, according to calculations from a variety of contemporary astrologers, this age will begin in the twenty-seventh century, or at least six hundred years from now.
